The Hantsport Memorial Community Centre (HMCC) operates as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the maintenance and provision of facilities for recreational, cultural, athletic and educational purposes.

At the heart of its 18 acres is Churchill House, home to the HMCC and location of the Marine Museum which is maintained by the Hantsport & Area Historical Society.

And on the grounds of the HMCC you will find a children's playground, basketball courts, tennis courts with night lights, outdoor swimming pool, baseball & soccer fields, and during the winter local volunteers flood and maintain an outdoor rink.

Canada Day Volunteers!!!!

The HMCC is calling out for volunteers to help with the Canada Day festivities.
Lend a hand at the Pancake Breakfast ... help out at the gates for a couple of hours ... help organize the parade
... GET INVOLVED!!!

Hantsport Princess Wardrobe Tea

At Churchill House on Saturday, May 19th, from 2-4pm with admission $5/person. Hantsport's Princess, Leah Price, will be modeling the clothing she will wear at the various Apple Blossom Festival Events.

Apple Blossom Festival Royal Party Visit

The Apple Blossom Royal Party is scheduled to arrive at Churchill House at 5pm on Sunday June 3rd and will have a 'meet and greet' on the lawn until 5:20pm.

Playground Update

All the new equipment has been installed ... next step will be to run the water/sewer lines. The Splash Pad and landscaping are scheduled to be completed by July 1st 2012. Donations are still being accepted as a couple of new picnic tables and a few new benches are still on the wish list. All help is appreciated. The HMCC is selling fifty limited edition 22” x 17” reproduction prints of DaSilva’s ‘Landscape with Bird’ ... originally a mural on the walls of the Red Barn and now at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
